During my career I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, such as NHS Mental Health, Community Drug and Alcohol Teams, Private Sector, Prison Service, Probation, Courts and Youth Justice.  I have experience of working with a variety of client groups and age ranges, from young people to older adults and also of providing both individual and group work sessions.

I have 16 years experience working in the fields of both mental health and addictions, providing structured evidence-based psychological treatment.  My most recent job role prior to private practice was working for 6 years as a CBT therapist within NHS Primary Care Mental Health, providing both 1:1 and group sessions of therapy within GP surgeries and other community venues.  I currently undertake private practice for The Priory and have a specialist interest in working with drug and alcohol addictions.

Hi.  My name is Liz Saunders and I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP).  For more information on the BABCP please see their website

I am also an accredited member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and recognised as an approved practitioner for health insurance providers, such as Bupa, AXA, Aviva, Nuffield Health and The Priory.
